Since November, the mobile version of the CSIC Virtual Library incorporates a new functionality for voice searches. To do so, click on the microphone icon that appears on the search form and clearly say the keywords by which you want to search. The Virtual Library will perform the search and present the results. Voice recognition is ready to work in Spanish and English.

CSIC Library and Archives Network catalog to be integrated into OCLC Worldcat

URICI and OCLC have signed an agreement for the integration of the catalogues of Red de Bibliotecas y Archivos del CSIC in Worldcat, the largest collective catalogue in the world, which contains 480 million bibliographic records and 2,800 million holdings of libraries around the world. For now, CSIC will contribute to Worldcat all the printed collections of its catalogues, both bibliographic and archival.

The purchase of individual ebooks for the CSIC Library Network is now possible

The URICI (Scientific Information Resources Unit for Research) has been acquiring electronic book collections for the CSIC Library and Archives Network for 10 years. These collections are purchased directly from the corresponding publishers, processed and integrated into the Virtual Library and access to their texts is open to the entire CSIC community.
