Seminar: "Aplicaciones médicas de micro/nanotecnologías: Organ on a chip e Interfaces neuronales"

Wednesday, 16th May, will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the CID Auditorium a seminar given by Dr Rosa Villa, from the Biomedical Applications Group (GAB) of the Microelectronics Institute of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC). The conference is titled:

"Aplicaciones médicas de micro/nanotecnologías: Organ on a chip e Interfaces neuronales"

Abstract:
In 2016 the world economic forum published the list of the Top 10 Emerging Technologies identified by its potential impact and that could play a fundamental role in improving life and transforming the industry. Among them there were 2D (Graphene) materials and in vitro devices called Organ on to Chip. The Biomedical Applications Group (GAB) of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC) has been developing recent lines of research involving these new materials and devices over the last few years. Rosa Vila, scientific researcher CSIC, will present the challenges, advances and problems of these lines of research in the GAB group.
