Title: Structural basis for genome-wide recognition of DNA clusters by SMAD transcription factors

I Edición de los premios “Yo Investigo. Yo Soy CSIC” de divulgación científica. El concurso tiene como finalidad que investigadores e investigadoras predoctorales en formación del CSIC acerquen sus investigaciones y presenten los trabajos y los resultados de su tesis doctoral a un público no especializado empleando un lenguaje sencillo y accesible mediante un vídeo de tres minutos de duración.

Los tres primeros premios han sido:

   1. Miriam Carolina Pérez Cova (Institut de Diagnosi Ambiental i Estudis de l'Aigua - IDAEA) - Título: Nadando con la muerte.
   2. Patricia Contreras Tejada (Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas - ICMAT) - Título: Las partículas cuánticas dan la cara.
   3. Andrea García Alonso (Instituto de Física de Cantabria - IFCA) - Título:

Job offer for PhD contract to research on “Nanoparticle exposures in workplace environments: physical-chemical and toxicological characterisation”. Position offered within research team on indoor and ambient air quality Environmental Geochemistry and Atmospheric Research (EGAR) in Barcelona.

The hydrogeology Group offers a PhD fellowship to study water quality improvement during artificial recharge of aquifers under the Water-JPI European project MARadentro. As part of the project the candidate will collaborate with international and interdisciplinary partners.

The goal of the thesis is to assess the water quality improvement during soil passage and to optimize the reactive barrier design in order to improve the recharged water quality regarding contaminants of emerging concern (CECs), pathogens, and toxicity.

Application deadline: 19th January 2020.

The ENFOCHEM research group offers a predoctoral contract position within the PRIMA project INWAT.

We are looking for an enthusiastic PhD student candidate with a great interest in acquiring knowledge in high resolution mass spectrometry for the determination of the presence and transformation of pharmaceuticals in water samples and aquatic biota.
