PROA has launched an official counter tracking the number of APCs available under transformative agreements
Starting April 17, URICI is launching an institutional counter for APCs available under transformative agreements signed with some of the leading scientific publishers. This tool, which is updated weekly and accessible via the PROA platform, provides the research community with accurate and up-to-date information on the availability of articles eligible for open-access publication under agreements that have a limited number of articles.
The counter will present information broken down by publisher to facilitate decision-making by authors, as their article could be published in open access at no additional cost to them.
This feature reinforces the CSIC’s commitment to transparency, efficient resource management, and the promotion of open science. Its continuous updates will allow the research community to check the actual availability of APCs and plan their publication processes with greater certainty.
