JoVE Visualize: A New Way to Explore Scientific Literature Through Video

The JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) educational platform has launched JoVE Visualize, an innovative online tool that transforms the way researchers and students access and understand scientific literature. This new solution is included in the CSIC’s institutional subscription, so all of its researchers can benefit from it at no additional cost.

JoVE Visualize draws on the Journal of Visualized Experiments—a pioneer in the publication of peer-reviewed experimental videos—to convert academic articles into accessible, easy-to-understand visual content. Thanks to this integration, users can not only read the articles but also watch videos demonstrating how the described methods and techniques are applied, which greatly facilitates the understanding and reproducibility of the experiments.

One of its standout features is its powerful AI-powered search engine, which analyzes more than 39 million scientific articles indexed in major international databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and SciFinder.

Building on this knowledge base, JoVE Visualize establishes intelligent connections between scientific articles and the experimental videos available on JoVE, offering users enriched results that combine theory and practice. This allows researchers to consult a paper and its visual counterpart simultaneously, which is particularly useful for understanding complex protocols, learning new techniques, or preparing experiments.
