The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) will be available to all CSIC centers and institutes starting in March 2026. This improvement over previous years allows the entire research community to benefit from one of the most important audiovisual repositories in the field of experimental methods across a wide range of disciplines, from life sciences and biomedicine to chemistry, physics, engineering, and environmental sciences.

PROA has launched an official counter tracking the number of APCs available under transformative agreements

Starting April 17, URICI is launching an institutional counter for APCs available under transformative agreements signed with some of the leading scientific publishers. This tool, which is updated weekly and accessible via the PROA platform, provides the research community with accurate and up-to-date information on the availability of articles eligible for open-access publication under agreements that have a limited number of articles.

The Open Library of Humanities (OLH) has launched a new poster that invites reflection on the current model of academic publishing and promotes open access as a fundamental principle for the dissemination of knowledge. Under the slogan “Join the fight to set knowledge free,” the initiative reinterprets the figure of Robin Hood as a symbol of redistribution in the realm of scientific communication.

DIGITAL.CSIC obtains the FECYT 2025 Quality Award with Special Mention in Data Management

The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) has published the final resolution of the first edition of the open access repository quality assessment process, recognizing DIGITAL.CSIC as one of the institutional repositories that has successfully passed this assessment. In addition, DIGITAL.CSIC has been awarded the Mention of Good Practices in Research Data Management, a recognition that underscores our commitment to excellence in scientific data management.
